Ms. Sherry Leigh Lacey Farquhar ’13
Sherry Leigh Lacey Farquhar ’13 joined the Office of College and Alumni Relations staff in the summer of 2015 to serve as the coordinator of internship development for the Center for Career and Vocation and became the director in 2016. In this role, she works with students and with employers to develop internship, part-time job, and full-time job placements. She also coordinates all CCV events and services. Sherry Leigh is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) with the Professional Association of Resume Writers.
As a graduate student at Auburn University, Sherry Leigh tutored student-athletes and worked with Student Financial Services as a telecounselor for incoming students. She was selected for membership in Iota Delta Sigma Counselors Honor Society. She earned credentials as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
At Huntingdon, she served as a work-study student in the office where she’s now on staff, as well as serving as an assistant in the Office of Admission and as president of the Student-Alumni Association, a Huntingdon Host, a Huntingdon Ambassador, an Orientation Leader, secretary and vice president for the Psychology Club, and a member of Chi Omega women’s fraternity and the cheerleading squad.. She was honored with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award for excellence in character and service and with the L.G. Bailey Psychology Award for excellence in academics. She was elected to Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society.
